Religious Education
At Pathways, we believe that Unitarian Universalism is a faith home for people who seek to transform themselves, our communities, and the world we share. We know that we need one another to inspire and support our transitions, discoveries, and spiritual growth. Our Religious Education (RE) program offers curricula and transformative experiences across the lifespan, from our youngest children to our adults.
Children & Youth Programs
We provide a nurturing environment where our children are equipped with an understanding of who they are and how deeply they are valued as part of our church family. Our programs are overseen by a paid Religious Education Professional to ensure high-quality learning and development.
-
Nursery & Preschool: We offer a safe and loving space for our littlest ones to begin their journey in a spiritual community.
-
Children and Youth: We encourage well-rounded development by exploring the diverse religious teachings found within Unitarian Universalism. Our curriculum helps youth develop their own sense of justice, equity, and compassion.
Adult Religious Education & Study Groups
Our spiritual growth doesn’t end in childhood. We offer various groups that meet after our Common Ground worship services at 11:45 AM to explore different subjects and preferences:
-
Adult RE Study Group: A dedicated space for deep dives into theological, historical, or social topics.
-
Sunday Discussion Groups: These include specialized circles such as:
-
Humanist Thought: Exploring ethics and meaning through a non-theistic lens.
-
Individual Spirituality: A group focused on the personal exploration of one's own spiritual path.
-
7 Principles Exploration: A group that meditates on and discusses the core principles of Unitarian Universalism.
-
-
Short-term Offerings: From time to time, we offer seasonal or need-based classes and workshops for the congregation.
